Proud parents, family and university staff acknowledged the academic achievements of 30 students who have made the 2004 Dean's Merit List at a ceremony held at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) yesterday.
In presenting the awards, Professor John Glynn, Dean of Commerce at the University of Wollongong in Australia said "The University is delighted that so many talented students have achieved this high recognition. It also emphasises the role UOWD plays in providing a quality education for students in the region.
The Deans Merit List is an annual list made up of students who achieved grades in the top 5 percent in their faculty. It includes students studying worldwide in courses offered by the University of Wollongong in Australia.
