Master of Strategic Marketing (MSM)
The Master of Strategic Marketing provides students with the advanced skills to generate products and services for which there is a defined customer need and to strategically position the product or service in the market with effective promotion, pricing and distribution strategies. The program strives to provide students with a thorough grounding in the strategic marketing techniques required to excel in today’s increasingly competitive global marketplace.
The Master of Strategic Marketing is for marketing practitioners with the ambition to become effective marketing strategists. Students will apply contemporary marketing theory and practice, incorporating international and global perspectives to their current and future roles. The knowledge, competencies and skills required in modern day marketing are developed through applied research and critical synthesis of alternate marketing perspectives. The Master of Strategic Marketing provides opportunities for students to build a solid base for continuous self-development as a marketing expert in their field of specialization.
Program Summary
| Duration | This course is normally 4 semesters in length. Based on 3 semesters per year and 2 subjects per semester, this degree may be completed in 1.5 years. Candidates may overload (take more than 2 subjects per semester) only with the approval of the Dean, Faculty of Business and Management. Students on a University sponsored Visa must take at least 2 subjects per semester. There are 10 teaching weeks per semester. | ||

| Recognition | This program is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education in addition to being accredited by the Australian Government. It is fully recognised within the UAE, in GCC nations and internationally for further education and employment in the private and public sectors. | ||
| Accreditation | UOWD Master of Strategic Marketing (MSM) program has been approved and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to provide direct entry to the CIM’s Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. CIM based in the UK is one of the top marketing institutions in the world. As per this accreditation, students completing MSM can have direct entry to Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (fourth level) offered by CIM. This accreditation has been granted by CIM after reviewing outlines, learning outcomes and modes of assessment of all the subjects offered in this course. | ||
| Intakes | There are three intakes each year (Autumn, Spring and Summer).

| Attendance | Attendance is compulsory. Each subject requires one evening of attendance per week. Classes are held 6.00pm – 9.00pm, Sunday to Thursday. | ||
