Outstanding Students – Merit Scholarships

UOWD makes the following scholarship available, (unless otherwise stated) at the commencement of each semester.

These scholarships are available for continuing (currently enrolled) students. The scholarships range from 10% - 40% of tuition fees for one semester only.

The scholarship does not cover living and other study-related expenses.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Applications are open to continuing (currently enrolled) students only who have:

  • Achieved an 85% Weighted Average Mark (WAM) in studies undertaken in the previous semester.
  • Candidates will be selected on their academic performance and the number of subjects undertaken in the previous semester.
  • These are not on-going scholarships, however the student is eligible to apply in any given semester provided they have gained a minimum WAM of 85%.
  • If the student is in their final semester, the tuition fee scholarship will only be awarded if the student enrols in another UOWD program the following semester.
  • Scholarships will be forfeited if the student does not enrol in the semester immediately following the session in which the scholarship has been awarded.

Scholarship Value

The scholarship is available for the next session tuition fees. It does not cover textbooks, excursions, accommodation, living expenses or any other costs involved in undertaking study.

Application Closing Dates

The closing date deadlines for receipt of scholarship applications and supporting documentation will be the first Sunday following the release of results.

Applications received after this day will not be considered.

Applying for a UOWD Scholarship

Applicants who are eligible for the Outstanding Students – Merit Schoalrships must submit an Application for Scholarship form along with supporting documentation (academic transcripts) to the Registrar’s Department. Applications must be received by the closing date and submitted to:
