External Grants

National Research Foundation

  • Dr Catherine Todd received commendation from the National Research Foundation in 2010 for the project Virtual Manipulation and Force Sensing during Inner Ear Surgery for Clinical Application, which received a ‘highly commended’, ‘exemplar grant’ rating (one of only two from UOWD to receive top-ranking).
     
  • As Principal Investigator, Dr Mohamed Watfa received AED 200,000 from the National Research Foundation, University-Industry Research Collaboration Award 2012 for the project A Wireless Charging Infrastructure for Future Electric Cars in the UAE.

Emirates Foundation

  • As Principal Investigator, Dr Mohamed Watfa received AED 280,000 from the Emirates Foundation for the project Wireless Energy Transfer in Sensor Networks.
