S.T.A.R Leadership Program
S.T.A.R. stands for Students Taking Active Roles and is a personal and professional leadership program created to allow you to develop skills and knowledge which will enhance your employability upon graduation.
Launching at the start of the Autumn 2007 semester, S.T.A.R. focuses on the information and skills necessary for effective leadership through the many opportunities for involvement in the UOWD student community. Program activities include existing workshops and activities as well as new workshops and activities developed specifically for S.T.A.R.
The workshops and activities are designed to develop and enhance your leadership skills. By strengthening these leadership skills, and offering you opportunities to develop the fundamental mindset that will help you on your career path, maintain successful personal and professional relationships, contribute to campus activities, and participate as citizens in UOWD’s student community, S.T.A.R. will enhance the graduate attributes expected of all UOWD students.
Through S.T.A.R. you can:
- learn more about yourself and others
- develop your own leadership style and skills
- sharpen and develop specific perspectives and abilities
