Elections
Elections are held for the new SRC office-bearers in the last month of regular classes during the Spring session. Students can run for election as part of a slate of candidates (slates must comply with specific membership criteria) or run individually as a general member.
All students interested in running for election, whether as a member of a slate or as an individual general member, must meet the following nomination criteria:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student
- No major disciplinary action on record
- No outstanding fines or payments
Certain offices have additional nomination criteria that have to be met in addition to the above criteria.
The newly elected SRC members officially take office at the start of the Undergraduate Autumn session. The term of office is from September of the year elected through to August of the following year, in compliance with the undergraduate academic year (Autumn, Spring & Summer sessions).
