With grant funding support from the National Research Foundation, the University of Wollongong in Dubai is proud to have teamed up with Dubai Business Woman Council (DBWC) to understand more about the role of women in the UAE workplace and the factors associated with women attaining, and succeeding in, leadership positions. It is hoped that the research will contribute to public policy initiatives aimed to heighten career leadership development opportunities among women in the UAE.Learn more about the project here.This inagural Women and Leadership Seminar is part of a monthly program of events which is designed to encourage women from across the UAE to contribute in the dialogues and debates surrounding gender issues in the workplace. The seminar will provide an opportunity for working women to both learn from Dr Hibah Shata's story and share their own stories, and to join the conversation about legislative implications.Drawing on her own experiences as Managing Director and Co-Founder of the Child Early Intervention Medical Centre, Dr Hibah Shata will tell her story of creating her own success.Registration will begin at 6pm. Presenter Details:Dr Hibha Shata co-founded the Child Early Intervention Medical Centre in 2008. An Autism speciality centre that provides unique services to children with Autism under one roof, Dr Hibah's work in the area has led her to being honoured with the Emirates Women Award in 2011 for her contribution to society and the community.
