UOWD Community Update
At the University of Wollongong in Dubai, we remain focused on the wellbeing, safety, and academic continuity of our students.
This page brings together key updates on teaching delivery, upcoming trimesters, and the support available to you. It will be updated as new information becomes available.
Spring Trimester (April Intake)
The Spring Trimester is scheduled to begin on 13 April and will be delivered as follows.
Teaching Delivery
Starting 18 May, the university will be offering additional teaching activities on campus, in line with official guidance:
- Please check your Moodle LMS for each of your subjects to confirm the mode of delivery and subject specific guidance.
- An online option will continue to be provided for students who have an approved Special Consideration for Distance Learning and those whose request is still in process.
- To avoid short-notice changes during this period of uncertainty, mid-term exams will be delivered online and detailed information will be provided through the Moodle LMS of each subject.
- Student activities and events will be held online or rescheduled.
- Student Services will remain online on appointment and through our the ServiceNow Portal.
Flexibility for Students
- Students with an approved Special Consideration for Distance Learning will have the option to continue with distance learning throughout the Spring 2026 trimester
- Students outside the UAE with an approved Special Consideration for Distance Learning may sit examinations online
- International students may be approved for special academic consideration and continue studying online until the end of the trimester
Before Returning to Campus
All students must review the Return to Campus Guidelines on myUOWD. On campus, please familiarise yourself with the clearly marked Safety Zones and follow the established Safety Protocols.
Autumn Trimester (September Intake)
We would like to reassure all students and applicants that the Autumn trimester is scheduled to begin as planned.
We continue to monitor developments closely, with a focus on ensuring a stable and high-quality academic experience.
