About IELTS on Computer test

The IELTS on Computer (Computer-delivered IELTS) test offers a modern and convenient way to assess English language proficiency for individuals seeking academic or professional opportunities. This format of the IELTS allows test-takers to complete the Reading, Writing, and Listening sections on a computer, providing a user-friendly and interactive experience. With the Speaking test conducted face-to-face with an examiner or through Video Call Speaking test.

UOWD offers Computer-delivered IELTS tests in two convenient locations – one at UOWD campus, providing daily tests and faster results, and another at the Experts Training Centre in Deira.

IELTS on Computer Test fee: AED 1260 (VAT Inclusive)

PLEASE NOTE that you are about to register for a Standard IELTS exam. For IELTS UKVI registration, click on the following link. If you register for a standard IELTS instead of the UKVI IELTS test, you must email [email protected].ae about the error 72 hours prior to the date of the test. The test centre will provide guidelines for processing a refund of the test fee. Please note that an administration processing fee of 25% of the test fee will be deducted. If you do not inform the test centre 72 hours prior to the date of the test, you will not be eligible to a refund.

IELTS Transfer, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Request for cancellation or postponement of your IELTS test must be made strictly 5 weeks before the test date via Email or in person only. Telephone cancellation or postponement will not be accepted.

If you requested cancellation more than five weeks ahead of the test date, you will receive a full refund.

If you requested transfer or cancellation less than five weeks ahead of the test date you will receive no refund. If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from taking your test, you are eligible for a refund (less 25% administrative fee). if you can provide evidence within 5 days of your test that your ability to sit the test will be or has been affected by serious illness or cause, such as:

• Serious Illness – hospital admission or serious injury
• Loss or Bereavement – death of a close family member
• Hardship/Trauma – victim of a crime, victim of a traffic accident
• Loss of job
• Military Service

You must complete a “Request for Refund” or “Test Day Transfer Form” and attach appropriate documentation and/or evidence, such as a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner, a death notice or certificate or a police report. Please send an email to [email protected] and the team will share the transfer and refund form with you.

Note: Failure to appear for the test without notification is considered a cancellation, no refund will be issued, and you must register and pay again if you wish to take the test on another date.

The Request for a Refund and Test Day Transfer are subject to verification before approval or rejection.

Results

IELTS on Computer results are released within 3 to 5 days from the date of the test. You can download an electronic copy of your result from your booking account.

The Test Report Form (hard copy) is available on request only. Please send us an email at [email protected] should you require the hard copy of your results the process will take 72 hours from the date of your request (excluding weekends). Share the following information:

Enquiry on Results

You can request a reassessment of your score by submitting a request called Enquiry on Result (EOR), this request has a fee of 577.5 AED including VAT, The EOR process may be completed within less than an hour or up to 21 days. It is important to mention that there is no guarantee for your marks to change.  If your result is changed to a higher band score you will:

• receive a full refund of the EOR fee (process takes approximately 2/3 weeks from the time we receive the required forms)
• be issued with a new Test Report form (accessible online from the booking account)

Additional Test Report Form (TRF)

There are two ways to assist in sending your results (TRF) to Recognising Organisations, one is electronic which is free of cost and can be sent to 10 recognised organisations. However, this service is only available for those universities are listed on the electronic system.

In order to send your results electronically, please follow the instructions below:

1. login to your account https://bx.prod.ielts.com/account/signin
2. go to “View My tests”
3. scroll down and click “View options for this test”
4. click “Notify Institution”
5. start adding your preferred institutions

If the organisation is not listed under the electronic database, the second option is by courier; this service has a courier fee of 131.25 AED (including VAT) within one month of the release of your results or 183.75 (including VAT) after one month per TRF.

The Additional TRF form can be access via this link, fill in form accurately provide the recognising organisation’s complete name, department and address, and avoid using abbreviations and acronyms. (Please fill in as many forms as required)
Send the completed form to [email protected]  the office will check and share the payment link for the courier cost.

Note: The IELTS test result is valid for two years from the date of the test.

About Paper-based IELTS test

The paper-based IELTS test is traditional format of IELTS which allows test-takers to complete all sections – Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking – using pencil and paper. With the Speaking test conducted on the same day, face-to-face or video call speaking with an examiner, the paper-based IELTS test offers a reliable and comprehensive evaluation of language skills, making it an excellent choice for individuals.

IELTS Results for Paper Based

You can check your IELTS results online (to access your results you need to enter your Candidate ID issued on the test date, your date of birth and registered ID).

Results for IELTS on paper is released within 13 days after your written test.

If you have taken the IELTS Paper based test at UOWD, you can collect the hard copy of your Test Result Form (TRF) from the UOWD Campus, first floor Counter #9. The office is open from Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Please carry your original ID document i.e., Passport or EID at the time of collection.

If you would like to authorise someone to collect your IELTS (TRF) you need to send an IELTS Authorisation Form, a copy of your passport and the person collecting must present an original photo ID and a copy of the same for our records.

You will receive only one original TRF. You can request up to 10 copies of your TRF to be sent to IELTS recognising organisations free of charge electronically subject to the RO being listed on the electronic database. If the organisation is not listed under the electronic database, the second option is by courier; this service has a courier fee of 131.25 AED (including VAT) within one month of the release of your results or 183.75 (including VAT) after one month per TRF.

Paper based IELTS Result SMS and Courier Service

Paper based IELTS Candidates can get their IELTS results via SMS on the same date the results are published. This service is FREE of charge.

Paper based IELTS Candidates can also request for their IELTS TRF to be sent directly to their home address. Courier charges AED 52.50 (within the UAE) and (International) AED 131.25 will apply. If you would like to apply for this service, contact us at [email protected]

Enquiry on Results - Policy and Fee

If you are not happy with your result, you can request a review of your score(s) through a service called an Enquiry on Results (EOR) within six weeks after the date. EOR request received after 6 weeks of the test date, cannot be processed.

You will need to complete the IELTS Enquiry on Results Form and submit the original TRF. A fee of AED 577.50 (Inclusive of VAT) is charged. The outcome will be available 3 to 21 days (depending on several factors including the number of sections requested for re-mark) The fees will be refunded in full if your result changes to a higher band score. Can I apply for Enquiry on Results (EOR) and IELTS One Skill Retake at the same time?

If you want to submit an Enquiry On Results against your original full IELTS test, you must do so within two weeks of your original IELTS Listening, Reading and Writing test date, and wait until you receive your remark status before registering for IELTS One Skills Retake against the same IELTS test.

Below are the process:

1. Log to your IELTS profile and view your recent IELTS results. Click here.
2. Click on the “Retake” button for the section of the test you require.
3. Select your IELTS One Skill Retake test centre i.e., University of Wollongong in Dubai.
4. Select IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your original test day.
5. Review and confirm your details. Click the “complete your booking” button to finalise your booking and pay.
6. Once your payment is successful, you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of the payment transaction.
7. The confirmation email will be sent to you 48 hours before your test date.

You will receive a new Test Report Form. This includes your updated IELTS One Skill Retake score as well as the results for the other three skills in the original test. You can choose whether you use your original or your new Test Report Form.
