Are digital technologies like Mixed Realities (Augmented Realities/Virtual Realities) disruptive? Do they have the innovative potentials that institutions and enterprise can leverage?
Mixed Reality (MR) is forging new strategies and exposing opportunities. From industries such as healthcare, creative, entertainment, and education, AR/VR finds growing momentum for use of immersive technologies. More importantly, along with the growing momentum, opportunities for growth of immersive technologies and potentials for avenues of monetization have emerged.
Mixed Realities (MR) are used in wide range of forms, from surgical training for medical students to simulated repairs for engineers. MR in the forms of Augmented Realities (AR) and Virtual Realities (VR) have caught the attention of industry leaders and is resulting in comparatively significant advances over the recent years.

Mr Mohammed Alawadhi

Road and Transportation Authority, Government of Dubai
Mr Mohammed previously served in the military for 15 years and later moved to The Executive Council, Government of Dubai, leading the IT operation team. After which, he advanced to the Strategic Department, to look over the alignment of technical requirements with the strategic objectives. In 2019, he joined RTA as an IT Director looking over the excellence in corporate solutions. Later he moved to the Parking Department to lead and supervise the technical team on projects and technical tasks, and develop the digital transformation plan for the next five years. Currently, he is leading the Driving Affairs Department.
Dr HC Lim
Assistant Professor
Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences
Dr HC Lim has over 20 years of industry experiences, managing IT enterprises and projects. He also has over 15 years of academic experience and currently teaches gaming electives and programing at the undergraduate level. He actively researches in immersive/gaming technology for data visualization, computer simulation and modelling.
