TECH-G: STE(A)M Camp for Girls 2024
A power-packed camp designed by girls for girls to help engage students across STE(A)M subjects and encourage towards STEAM education and career!
Tech-G e-Camp is one of the first initiatives in the UAE that promotes STEM education career for female students. The camp has been conceptualized by Dr Zeenath Khan, Associate Professor at Faculty of Engineering & Information Sciences (UOWD) and founder of an online platform Wogi Foundation that supports women and girls, to provide exposure to the STE(A)M curricula, method of teaching and careers for female students in the UAE. The workshops are designed by STEM experts, conducted by STEM students and Alumni of UOWD or by leading STEM industry female role models. The camp is also supported by the Wo-Gi Foundation, an online initiative that supports women and girls empowerment.
The camp is powered by Help AG! Help AG delivers specialized consultancy and bespoke information security solutions and services to premier enterprises in the Middle East, empowering them to securely navigate their digital transformation journey while maintaining a competitive advantage.
This program runs over the weekend starting at 9.00am and ending 4.00pm, and includes morning and afternoon classes, workshops, a competition, and career advice at the end of the camp.
This camp is open to girls from grades 6 - 10 only!

Registration Fee and Space
There is a nominal registration fee for each participant – AED100/- including VAT per head for the entire camp. Please note – the registration fee is a participating fee for the female Campers to attend the camp. The fee includes attending the workshops and competition across all sessions. Attendance to all sessions is mandatory. Campers wishing to attend all sessions or attending any one of the sessions will be expected to pay the AED100/- complete fee, regardless of the number of days of attendance.
Please note there are limited seats for the event. Each day we can accommodate 25 female Campers only.
Registration and booking will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Camp classes and workshops
Each session runs for 90 minutes to three hours. The workshops are structured to assist the campers discover specific areas of STEAM education, expand their interests, general knowledge and potential careers in the future. Campers may opt to attend all four days or any combination of days.
All instructors of the workshops specialize in their respective areas in STEAM and are either peer-tutors, graduates of University of Wollongong in Dubai Computer Science and Engineering degrees, faculty members and/or experts from the industry.
On the afternoon of last session, the campers will be able to engage in a fun-filled competition. After the competition, they will be able to attend a career advice session by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences. At the closing, the campers will all be presented with a Certificate of Participation and winners will be announced. Parents are welcome to attend the last session with the campers.
Tech-G is a non-boarding camp program that is designed to serve female Campers, who wish to attend our camps on a day-only basis. This program runs over the weekend starting at 9.00am and ending 4:00pm, and includes seminars, workshops, a competition and career advice at the end of the camp.
