‘New tech start up will link journalists and PR professionals’: David Haddad
Thursday, 15 March, 2012
David Haddad is the founder of a technology start up called Press Pass. “We’re trying to create a marketplace,” he told the students in the Media and Communications Master’s program at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. The idea, Haddad explained, is to bring together journalists who are looking for story ideas and PR practitioners who want to contact journalists on behalf of their company or client. Press Pass will track data on the stories that journalists cover and PR people who regularly spam journalists.During the session, Haddad took the students through the beta version of the Press Pass site www.presspass.me and asked them about various business models he and his partner are testing.
