SRC organises pool party to welcome new UOWD students

Wednesday, 26 November, 2014

To mark the start of another exciting semester at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, new students were recently welcomed by UOWD’s Student Representative Council (SRC) with a fun-filled pool party.

Taking place at Time Oak Hotel, TECOM, the event saw new and current students take time out together to socialize and unwind before the serious business of studying started in earnest.

The night began with an electrifying set by DJ Carl Rizk with students and visitors dressed to swim. Some of the guests headed straight for the pool, whilst others were happily mingling,   entertained by the talented MC Yinka.  The program also included an awe-inspiring magic show performed by gifted UOWD freshman Zohair and his friends.

The dinner buffet consisted of a wide range of scrumptious dishes, featuring an appetizing mix of Mexican, Asian and Western cuisine.

Feedback from the attendees was highly positive. Everyone hailed it as a great event that successfully brought UOWD students together.
