UAE Ministry of Education cautions prospective students

"Stay away from unrecognised universities" was the clear message from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reported the Gulf News in an article published on 1st July, cautioning prospective students in their choice of a University in the UAE. The article quoted Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research as saying, "Our concern is to ensure that government and private teaching facilities and curriculums meet international standards and the best practices taught in the academic world." Gulf News went on to say that the Minister "advised graduates of secondary schools to consult the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which provides a list of all the licensed institutions and accredited programmes."
