UOWD Employee Awards

UOWD Employee Awards Ceremony was held at the University of Wollongong in Dubai on 12 November 2008. Besides the five and ten years service awards, the prestigious ITC e5 awards were also presented at the ceremony. The annual e5 Awards for Excellence formally acknowledge standards of excellence and recognize the outstanding contributions of staff at the ITC Group. These awards embody the elements of how the ITC Group operates its business within the e5 values ethics, equity, empowerment, excellence and earnings. Mr. Michael H. Codd, Chancellor, University of Wollongong, Australia who presented the awards and Dr. James Langridge, outgoing CEO of ITC and Vice Principal (Offshore operations) University of Wollongong, Australia attended the ceremony. Also present were the incoming CEO of ITC, Mr Vince Lendrum and UOWD President Professor Rob Whelan. The 10 year service award winners were Nandini Kaul, Instructor, College of Business and Colleen Symss, Registrar Coordinator and the five year service awards went to Dr Farhad Oroumchian, Associate Professor, College of Informatics and Computer Science , Arpana Sharma, Executive Officer to the President, Shajahan, Residence Supervisor and Dr Munir Lutfi, Assistant Professor, College of Business. The following ITC e5 awards for Excellence were presented: Excellence in Teaching & Related Duties Highly Commended Dr Payyazhi Jayashree, Assistant Professor, College of Business. Excellence in Process or System Improvement Highly Commended Dr David Van Over, Chair, College of Graduate Studies Commended Jaspreet Singh, Teaching Assistant, College of Informatics and Computer Science.
