UOWD hosts Supply Chain Executive Forum: Living Supply Chains

Prominent supply chain experts will meet in Dubai on 13th & 14th November at the Supply Chain Executive Forum (SCEF) organized by the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) at the Grosvenor House Hotel. The SCEF provides an opportunity for delegates to interact with leading supply chain experts from four continents. The importance of Dubai as a regional logistics hub will be highlighted in the keynote address by Michael Proffitt, CEO of Dubai Logistics City and by Ms. Salma Hareb, CEO of JAFZA and the keynote speaker at the Gala Dinner. Leading supply chain expert from Australia, Prof. John Gattorna, author of the best selling book - "Living Supply Chains: How to mobilize the enterprise around delivering what your customers want" - says "Realizing that living supply chains are organic, not mechanical, will quite fundamentally change your approach to managing your supply chain. Prof. Martin Christopher from the UK and winner of the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Award in 2005 will speak on "Managing Supply Chains in an Age of Uncertainty. Dr. Raed Awamleh, Dean at UOWD will be discuss "Leading from the front: The vision and values of successful supply chain leaders. US-based Prof. Vinod Singhal from Georgia Tech will address participants on "Supply Chain Disruptions and Corporate Performance. Panel discussions by local and regional industry leaders will be held on the topics of "Customer Conversations: Finding new ways to listen to customers and how to improve alignment and "Critical issues facing supply chains of the future.
