UOWD receives top award at IDP’s Global Excellence Awards ceremony

The English Language Centre at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) was recently awarded with the IDP Global Excellence in Customer Service Award during an event held in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam.

The UOWD IELTS team were recognised for their customer centric approach with a commitment towards maintaining and improving the candidates journey experience and providing training to their staff in meeting testing standards, at the same time offering excellent customer service. 
The IDP Global Excellence Awards recognises achievement of test centres globally in various categories.

IDP Education is a world leader in international student placement services and a proud co-owner of IELTS (International English Language Testing System). IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. Since its launch in 1989, IELTS has become the world’s most popular English language proficiency test.

The University, celebrating its 25th Anniversary in the UAE this year, has been administrating the IELTS exam for 18 years, it has a wealth of experience and knowledge in conducting this high-stake exam.  

UOWD, known for its flexibility to meet the needs of IELTS test-takers, offers IELTS testing four times a month at its campus in Dubai Knowledge Park and provides more options for candidates to choose a test date suitable for them.  

The centre also offers IELTS testing in partnership with institutes in Abu Dhabi, Emirates College of Technology, English World in Ras Al Khaimah, University of Dubai, in Academic City Dubai, Experts Trainers Management in Deira Dubai and Al Dar University College in Al Garhoud Dubai. The exams at the offsite testing centres are delivered by trained UOWD staff members.
