UOWD won the Inter-college cricket tournament organized by Insportz on 8 May 2009 .The team led by Janak Lala won the tournament in a convincing manner. In the finals, UOWD competed against Emirates Aviation. Emirates Aviation initially got to a flying start but were later restricted to a score of 49 in 8 overs with a brilliant spell bowled by Gladwyn and Prithvi .Chasing a score of 49 UOWD got to a stable start. It was, however, a wonderful batting show by Sajid that got UOWD to victory. Yash Makar from UOWD was named as the Player of the Tournament.
